Empowering Indigenous Women of the Sahel

About Us

AIWO Sahel, a branch of AIWO Africa in West Africa's Sahel region, unites Indigenous women and organizations in Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Niger. Our mission is to empower women, promote gender equality, and advocate for the rights of Indigenous communities. Through education, advocacy, and community projects, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society. Join us in our journey to uplift women, preserve Indigenous cultures, and build a brighter future for all in the Sahel region.

We are dedicated to the promotion, protection, and advancement of the rights of indigenous women and girls across Africa. Our aim is to address the systemic marginalization, triple discrimination (based on gender, indigenous status, and poverty), and lack of representation faced by indigenous women.

We believe in the potential of every individual to drive positive change in the Sahel community.
