DINFEL (National Directorate of Women in Livestock Farming) was created in 2002 at a forum held in Louga. It is a non-political organization. The organization is part of the civil society and works for the socio-cultural and economic development of Senegal. The directorate has over 50,000 members (all women) distributed throughout the country's administrative divisions. The main objectives of DINFEL's are to promote:

 

• Pastoral entrepreneurship.

• Poverty reduction.

• The rights of women and girls in the livestock sector.

• Women's empowerment.
